Nimí Fresh Locust Beans
Soft, moist, straight from the ferment
Whole fermented locust beans (iru), still soft and moist, the way most home cooks in Nigeria grew up buying it in the market — just cleaner, and consistent from pack to pack.
How to use it
Stir into egusi, ogbono, or efo riro in the last few minutes of cooking to release the full aroma. A little goes a long way — start with a teaspoon per pot and adjust to taste.
Storage
Keep refrigerated and use within 2–3 weeks of opening, or freeze in small portions for longer storage. Always reseal tightly — iru is happiest cold and covered.
